Hi there everyone. My name is Wayne Alves, owner of Wayne Alves Photography, and I am new to the photography world. I am 49 years old and grew up in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Well let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 49 year old male photographer, who was born and raised on Cape Cod for over 20+ years, so you can call me an original "Cape Codder". After graduating from Barnstable High School in 1986, I moved to Peoria, Arizona with my parents because the doctors told my parents that the air out there would be better for my father, well three years later, we moved back to the Cape. To make this part of my moving life short, I came back from AZ, to Cape Cod Mass, then in 2006 I moved to Jefferson, Maine where I lived with my niece for a few years until we moved back here to New Bedford, Mass in 2012.
In late 2012, early 2013 I ended up living on Social Security Disability Benefits because of some medical issues that have been on-going and has stopped me from doing any kind of real work. So I decided to pick up a hobby that would keep me busy and keep my mind busy as well.
I remember when I was about 13/14 years old and for Christmas my parents gave me a Kodak Instant camera (where you took the picture and it instantly popped out and you had to wait just a few minutes for it to develop), which was one my very first camera that I have ever received.
I have had so many different cameras since then and each one was always fun to use. Not only has the cameras in my life changed, but the situations in my life have changed. My life has had it's good times and it's bad times. The bad times had brought me to live on Social Security Benefits and its Income, and since I can't work because of some of my medical issues, I decided to do something about it. I had to find something to keep me from going mentally insane and that not an easy task...LOL! So I decided one day to go down to our locale duck pond for a walk and take some pictures while I was down there. I also decided to go drive to the south end beach to take some pictures as well. The next then I knew, I was started to enjoy something that I missed doing since I was a teenager. So now I am starting a hobby and hopefully a business with taking some beautiful pictures for my viewers and buyers like yourselves.
My website photographs will be taken with my Canon SX160 IS with 16.0 Mega Pixels with a 16X Optical Zoom Lens. This camera has taken some great pictures as you will see in my photo galleries. My pictures are for sale and they are all copyrighted.
